Starting photography

You will need: a camera, an imagination.
  • Look around you. What do you see? Does it deserve to be captured in time? If you like something, an object or landscape or person, take a picture, because someone else will probably like it too.
  • Find something uniquely you. If you want photography to be something you do every day, your pictures have to be different. You can't have the same style as someone else, so look at things from a different angle.
  • Know your equipment. e.g. You don't know what that button on your camera does? Find out. Ask someone, or read the camera's manual (which hopefully you haven't thrown away like me- ha ha!) There is someone I know called Google, ask him and you are sure to be alright. Tip: ask the staff in the shop about your camera before you buy it!
  • Learn the tricks. Ask other photographers for advice and tips. Sometimes they will know a little more than you.
  • There is always going to be someone better than you. And worse. Accept that some people have been taking photos for longer than you. And some people have been for less. But that's OK. They are all fellow camera-lovers and will all inspire and encourage you in their own (no matter how crazy) way.
Today's quote is:

Sometimes the little things can make a difference.

An eight year-old said that to me today. See if that can help you with your photography.

I'd like to send a shoutout to my crazy friend, Chatterbox (you know who you are) :)

If I missed any tips, or if you guys know any tips, or you, Chatterbox have found this, please write a comment.

Ginger and Chocolate Biscuits

Hi guys!
This is a really nice recipe, which I found in a cookbook in my kitchen (a really old one without a publisher written on it!) and I came across a recipe for 'biscuits'. They could have came up with something more original! Anyway, I tried that recipe but the biscuits were very plain and boring, so I decided to spice it up a little (I actually used spices) ;)

Here is the recipe I use (which is half from the book and half from me!)

Makes about 18 biscuits (it depends on the cookie cutter you use, really)

For the biscuits:
350g plain flour
3 teaspoons of ground ginger, or 4 teaspoons if you're a ginger lover!
1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
100g butter
175g soft light brown sugar
1 egg
4 tablespoons of golden syrup

For the chocolate icing (don't really know what to call it!):
165g milk/dark chocolate (whichever you prefer)
Handful of sprinkles

Heat your oven to 180C, 350F gas mark 4.
Storage:Keep in an airtight container and eat within six days.

Anyway, I have to go to the shop with my mum to post something soon (Yes, this island is so small that there is only one shop, and it is also the post office xD)
So, here we go!

Autumn Touches for your Bedroom ;)

Hi guys... So, well this is awkward. I've been gone for WAY too long, I think the last time I posted was in June. That's 3 MONTHS!!! I'm sorry guys!! I had an extremely busy summer, and I honestly had more important things to be doing than sitting on my laptop, typing. But now that its officialy AUTUMN  (WHOOP WHOOP), and I'm back at school, I feel like it's time to start this up again.

I'm so excited to be back, and what better time to come back than in autumn? I mean, who doesn't love autumn. If you're new around here, I love listsing things. But most of you know that already. Here's a list of reasons why I personally love autumn. (Or fall, which is an awesome name for it hehe)
